    IDC MEA is looking for a Conference Project Manager based in Dubai, UAE to support the Conference Team.


    The Conference Project Manager is expected to help plan and oversee all aspects of an event from the conception of the initial idea to the last detail of the event. The Conference Project Manager meets with relevant organizational staff and discuss the organization’s and client desires. He/she often suggests ideas, themes or other creative possibilities to help the event. He/ She manages all staff related to the event including caterers, entertainment, parking and guest registration. The Conference Project Manager must present a budget for the event and stick to it. Adhering to a time line is important and frequent communication with organization members as to the progress of the event is a must. 

    • Support the conference team and regional manager in order to achieve success of conferences
    • Manage all administration and logistics at IDC events
    • Supervise and execute responsibilities such as: invitation process (e-mailing, faxing and direct mail), telephone follow-up, confirming registrations, keeping registration lists and provides reports on number and structure of registrants
    • Manage pre-event such as venue selection, co-ordination with hotels, sponsor/speaker co-ordination etc
    • Manage conference budgets in order to achieve profit target
    • Supervision of conference end-user and speaker database
    • Hold responsibility for updating local events web sites
    • Support all PR related tasks


    • Intermediate PC skills (OS MS Windows; MS Excel, Word and Lotus
    • Previous event organization experience is a plus
    • Good written and language skills
    • Routine resistant
    • Detail oriented
    • Able to work under pressure
    • Able and willing to learn and follow internal processes and guidelines
    • Ability to pay special attention to handling sensitive client information.
