    We are actively seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join our team in Budapest. The successful candidate is required to have data analysis/market research experience and be a fluent English speaker.



    • Working on all quarterly, annual and semiannual research of the cloud/IT Services/Software program research, for both standard products and custom research/consulting
    • Comprising such as the interviewing of local and international firms, data collection and modeling, content development and analysis
    • Monitoring market activities, attending press and other public conferences related to software and cloud markets, attending vendor briefings, public speaking engagements (research/sales presentations)
    • Writing reports, bulletins, developing analysis & evaluation,
    • Support the event business line with market information and developing event content upon request
    • Establish and grow relations with select priority customers and relevant communities through a series of targeted business development activities
    • Identify customer needs, develop IDC solutions and position them to customers (scope projects and prepare proposals in coordination with sales and consulting)
    • Profile customers identify entry topics and key stakeholders for sales
    • (Co)Execute, (co)deliver or oversee delivery of sold solutions
    • Leverage IDC analyst / consulting network and research meetings
    • Implement and drive local process for collecting biz dev input from research meetings. Offer guidance to local analysts to identify opportunities
    • Provide regular feedback to local sales team, translate research meeting outcomes into sales actions together with sales
    • Deliver Business Briefings





    • University degree is required
    • Relevant work experience is preferred, and may include market and/or equity research in the IT field; or research, marketing or sales at an IT provider or vendor
    • Excellent written and spoken English
    • Industry-specific knowledge (software industry) a plus
    • Knowledge of IT markets


    A candidate has to be able to demonstrate:


    • An understanding of the IT industry, in particular applications and software
    • An ability to discuss and analyze technical issues
    • An aptitude for business analysis and quantitative analysis
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills
    • Good interview skills, and solid phone interview skills
    • Proficiency with Excel and other Office software packages
