This position is created to fulfill IDC in increasing focus on business and developing new business contacts through telesales. This role supports IDC's rapidly growing key client base:


  • Sales of IDC's product portfolio of regional events mostly, which includes research and consulting services and engagements; and local, regional, and global conferences;
  • Proposal preparation for prospective clients;
  • Client acquisition: contact and follow-up through telephone and on-site visits;
  • Developing prospects and client profiling: developing new contacts and identifying major decision makers within the IT and telecoms industry;
  • Local Development: identifying new business within the local user market;
  • Keep customer database actual and updated, operate within a sales team supporting team objectives;
  • Financial monitoring and management of sales to assigned key clients, forecasts and submission of final results.



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 years of sales experience, preferably experience in high technology (services, software or hardware)
  • Ideal to have experience in account management with a marketing & communications agency
  • Proven experience in building excellent client relationships, offering value added, insightful and strategic insight into their business
  • Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence and sales acumen
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to closure
  • Strong command of English language is a must
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
