About the position

This role will be responsible for managing sales operations for the IDC Western Europe region and will require a “hands-on” operational responsibility for supporting the sales operations charter covering managing bookings processing and reporting, business and customer analytics, Salesforce.com adoption and process leadership, oversee the day-to-day customer support function.

 

The role will have a regional remit, primarily Western Europe but will actively work in collaboration with Emerging Markets of Middle East and Africa as well as with other IDC regions. This role reports directly into the UK Head of Sales.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the processing of monthly sales (bookings) and govern the process of sales recognition.  Implementing and communicating policy to be supported by Sales Management
  • Leading a change process and adoption process for Salesforce implementation in terms of – developing training curriculum, preparing messaging linked to implementation and intensive inculcation of sales teams across the European network. This is part of a global IDC roll-out with direction and support from corporate
  • The development with sales management of sales performance metrics and management of tracking and reporting the metrics.
  • Supporting annual sales planning process including account assignments, Quota-Setting, and sales territory monitoring. This also covers providing monthly reports covering account team performance and sales recognition activities
  • Provide IDC senior management with analytical reporting via excel and, PowerPoint to support business planning
  • Work on supporting sales optimisation and productivity in context of improving tools and processes  
  • Work collaboratively with sales, line of business and other support groups internationally to resolve issues and seek ways to improve sales operations efficiencies.

Qualifications

Your profile

  • This assignment will suit an experienced Sales Operations individual, who will quickly become familiar with all aspects of IDC sales operations and can lead change in terms of Salesforce.com implementation building on the momentum already in place
  • Proven track-record in hands-on sales operations and experienced in administering Salesforce CRM
  • Self-driven, diligent and organized work ethic, who can work to deadlines
  • Fast-learner, capable of grasping business with a disposition to solve issues and drive optimization of processes
  • Skillful, with capability to display tact and diplomacy while being assertive at times
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High proficiency in English, additional European Languages useful
