IDC is constantly expanding its global business in the Middle East & Africa region due to which we are looking for a business professional to join our team in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a Research Analyst in the IT Services Group. The position will report to the Principal Analyst for Saudi Arabia.


  • Conduct research, produce written reports to support subscription services and support of custom research projects. These activities involve primary and secondary research as well as preparation and analysis of survey results.
  • Conduct regular ICT industry analysis through primary and secondary research and develop market models and forecasts for various IT & Cloud services Saudi Arabia.
  • Contribute to custom research and consulting engagements in the ICT services domain by conducting primary research interviews and building competitor and market intelligence repositories.
  • Developing rapport with key industry stakeholders to monitor strategic developments and market trends in the IT services market.
  • Staying abreast with the latest market developments by attending ICT industry events, conferences and summits and leveraging these opportunities for networking and building intelligence.
  • Fostering a detailed understanding of IDC's services taxonomy and establish service and product mapping acumen to drive service provider portfolio analysis with clarity.



  • The position calls for a highly-motivated individual with exceptional writing, presentation, and client interaction skills.
  • The candidate should be someone eager to build or further a career as an analyst, a quick and creative thinker, who is eager to learn and to be coached.
  • The ideal candidate has 3-5 years working in market research, consulting and/or product management, planning, strategy etc. looking at ICT industry.
  • Fluency in Arabic language would be advantageous, as the research's geographical scope will be primarily in the GCC region.
  • Bachelor's degree and fluency in written and oral English is required.
  • Strong data analytical skills along with good understanding of MS Office especially Excel and PowerPoint are necessary for this role.
